Napuru Waterfalls are hidden gem near Arusha city on the slopes of Mount Meru, the second tallest mountain in Tanzania. On the trip you go through local villages where you pass through maize, banana and coffee farms up to the picnic area where you will get an armed guard and a guide to hike down with to the falls. On some occasions you may spot the black and white colobus monkeys from Arusha National Park. The lush green vegetation and the cold clean air gives such a fulfilling feel as you walk down to the falls. The hike doesn’t require any special hiking gear but hiking boots would make it easier for you. This trip can be done throughout the year but it is during the dry months that is the best time to go as the path is not slippery.
